Hey what’s happening TBD Fam

In case you missed it… on June 22nd we officially opened our doors to the public.
Yes… you read that right. We’re ready to be hosting more events!

I’ll talk more about the other events in just a few moments…
let’s get a recap of what happened at the grand opening for Tampa Bay DAO.

The events squad definitely pulled it together to make this one for the community and a huge shoutout to the events squad leader, Kelsie aka humanpterodactyl… yep you read that right… human pterodactyl *(insert dinosaur scream)*.

Seed Phrase Scavenger Hunt

What you probably didn’t know about the Tampa Bay DAO is that we love playing games… board games, card games, solving riddles, and puzzles. So… Kelsie organized an interesting and engaging scavenger hunt for our community members. (We combined Catchphrase and having a scavenger hunt)

The scavenger hunt was to guess the 12-word seed phrase to win the game… it wasn’t a free for all as we encouraged everyone to collaborate and play the game together. The collaboration went a little too well because by the end of the event everyone was helping each other out!

We had door prizes and also had everyone who attended…
got placed on a whitelist spot for the TBD Pelican Pal Launch…

We had about 44 people that came out to check out TBD headquarters and we plan on hosting and running more events just like this… so you definitely want to stay tuned in. But first… let’s get into what we wanted to happen from this event.

As members of the Tampa Bay DAO, we are blessed to be part of a local community that advocates for the local culture. Supporting the local community through being innovators of the Web3 space. There’s a lot uncharted territory when it comes to technology. It’s always evolving and creating new unique opportunities for people to improve their way of live.

That being said… having a scavenger hunt combined with Mad Libs was an amazing way to engage our community. Introducing game theory in a local environment that revolves around crypto & Web3… we believe we’re onto something here.

“What happened to the Pelican Pals?”

You ask a great question because we haven’t forgotten about everyone that’s in our whitelisted spots. If you’ve been tuning into our social media and joined our Discord channel or attended any of our live events… then you may have heard we’re already working on the actual launch of v2 of the Pelican Pals!

Shhh… I can’t say much else… we want to keep our heads down and work on something magical for our community members.

Anyway… with our official launch of HQ, we’re opening the doors for other opportunities such as Artist Hangouts, Social Gatherings, Crypto Education Meetups, & Business Workshops. Ooo that’s right… we’re shifting gears to host more and more events.

We would love to meet every single one of you in person that’s for sure… that’s why we’re wanting to host more events. It’s hard to replace face-to-face but we aim to bridge that gap of the local community, NFTs, Web3 with collaborative digital innovation.
